To ensure that young people continue to have access to quality programmes, the S.E.L.B. are committed to provide appropriate training opportunities for young people and youth workers. .

The training provided by the S.E.L.B. is endorsed by the Youth Work Training Board of the Youth Council of Northern Ireland and in some instances by recognised training bodies. Training packages for individual units based on identified needs are also available.

Access training within the S.E.L.B.

Divisional Training

Each of the three divisions produce a range of training courses for groups in their Divisions. In particular circumstances it is possible to undertake training in another division than the one in which you are registered.

Headquarter Training

On occasion courses relating to Good Relations work and the Duke of Edinburgh Award are organised from headquarters. For further details relating to these please contact headquarters administration staff.

Outdoor Education Courses

Courses in Outdoor Education can be undertaken through Killowen and Shannaghmore. Details of these courses are available from the centre.
