Field Support Service

The Special Education Field Support Service provides support and guidance to schools and teachers on the implementation of the Code of Practice and the Southern Education and Library Board’s Special Educational Needs Policy.

Training for schools can be accessed by two clear routes:-

• INSET Training

Individual teachers can attend courses. Schools are familiar with the procedure for securing courses through this route.

• School based training/support

School based requests for training /support within a school will be processed on receipt of a written request.
