Audio Visual Recording Service

The Audio-Visual Recording Service (AVRS) is an educational resource provided on behalf of all five education and library boards by the SELB’s Education service and is available only to schools and colleges in Northern Ireland. 

The service is funded by the Education and Library Boards.

Schools may purchase or borrow items. Prices are per DVD, video or CD - not per programme.

VAT at the current rate is applicable on all invoices excluding those from schools within the SELB’s catchment area.

The Southern Education and Library Board (the ‘Board’) was established as part of Local Government reorganisation in 1973 and is the largest of the five area Boards. The Board's principal functions are the provision of education and youth services to the District Council areas of Armagh, Banbridge, Cookstown, Craigavon, Dungannon & South Tyrone and Newry & Mourne. It spans 1,450 square miles with a total population of approximately 390,300 including 75,767 pupils.
