Summer Scheme 2014

Summer Scheme 2014

July 2014

There were 240 applications for our annual Summer Scheme that ran from the 1st to the 3rd of July in Portadown.

The complete beginner Wind Band once again proved a popular option and provided access and opportunity for students not already registered with the Music Service. As in previous years, demand was particularly high for string, wind and guitar places. Ice-breaking activities continue to prove very popular and added to the fun and enjoyment.

The Friends of the Music Service and Craigavon Arts Council very kindly funded a series of art workshops during which our students designed and painted canvases inspired by their experiences with the Music Service. These art works are now on display in our 3 music centres.
