Newry Learning Centre

"Experience Enjoyable Education"

The ethos of the Newry Centre is to enable young people to gain a fresh start, to provide a place where they can address their SEBD needs, participate in education, and to grow and mature whilst gaining the necessary skills required for adult life.

The Project aims to assist young people through their final compulsory years of school and help them to achieve some form of formal qualification, which will benefit their futures. The centre emphasises pastoral care and the educational development of the young people to enable them to…

  • Experience success in their lives
  • Prepare for adulthood
  • Develop their personal and social skills
  • Prepare for the field of work
  • Have the chance to acquire a range of vocational, recreational and educational skills

First and foremost the centre instils a sense of respect, fairness and acceptance. We treat and encourage every young person who attends the centre to accept responsibility for his or her own actions like responsible young adults.
