Student Finance

The closing date for new Student Finance applications was 17th April and the closing date for returning students was 30th June.

Late applications will be processed as quickly as possible but it may take up to 6 weeks until you receive notification of your entitlement.

In order to assist staff in processing the late applications please do not telephone the Student Finance section within the 6 week period.

The Student Finance Section is responsible for processing support applications and financial assessments from eligible domiciled students undertaking higher education courses.

If you normally live in Northern Ireland all the online services and advice you need including downloadable forms are available from the Student Finance NI website.

If you wish to make a telephone enquiry you should contact the Customer Support Office, telephone 0300 100 0077. This is open Monday-Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday to Sunday 9am-4pm.

If you wish to visit the office you may do so during the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm (Monday-Friday).

We have a set a standard of 12 working days to reply to all written correspondence, but due to the heavy demands on the service during the period July to October replies may take longer.


Further Education Awards 

Further Education awards are available for some approved further education courses which do not attract support under the Student Support Regulations. There is only a limited amount of money available and if you apply late you may not receive any support.
