National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) Poetry & Visual Arts Competition
Each year, the NDCS hold a poetry and visual arts competition and as usual, there have been a number of winners from the SELB. The teachers in the Sensory Support Service (SELB) are delighted with the achievements of the following children and young people:
  • Martin Csomo from Armstrong Primary School in Armagh
  • Cameron Shepherd from Cookstown High School
  • Eve Canavan from Drumanoe Nursery School in Lurgan
  • Nathan Gibson from Lismore Comprehensive School in Lurgan

  • Victoria Murray from Killylea Primary School won 1st prize in the 4 – 8 years’ age group and also the shield for the best overall piece of artwork in the competition. She is pictured right:

    Constance Dougan from Killycomaine Junior High School
    Catherine Dougan from Killycomaine Junior High School received 1st place for creative writing in the 9 – 13s category and she also won the Belfast Telegraph cup for overall best entry in Creative Writing and is pictured left:
