| The checks, which will be entirely voluntary, will consist of:
- Blood Pressure
- Combined BMI (weight, height, % body fat analysis)
- Cholesterol
and should normally last no longer than 20 minutes per person. There will be a nominal charge to the school of approx £3.00 (costed at today’s rates) per person to cover the cost of the cholesterol testing kit.
Participants will be advised of the test results immediately and a statistical analysis of the results may be provided to you if requested. I would reassure you that this analysis is purely for information purposes and will not identify any member of staff.
As we expect interest to be high, also as it would be unrealistic to expect that every school will be accommodated in this current year, I would be grateful if you would consider whether or not you wish to involve your school in this initiative and reply to me at your earliest convenience, in order that we can gauge demand and plan accordingly.
