| Workshops were facilitated by the Love for Life organisation, real life victims of crime and the prison officers themselves. The mother of a young person, who had stolen a car and crashed it killing him and two others, spoke about how this crime had affected her life. A DVD was shown of a young man who was knocked down by a stolen car and who is now permanently disabled and who feels that he has become a burden to his family.
Michelle Thompson (prison officer), who organised the event, praised the behaviour and manners of the EOTAS pupils, three of whom won awards for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the event.
Everyone agreed that it was a great experience and Eotas pupils should be very proud of their magnificent contribution. |
