| NIABF is hosting a short story competition for pupils based on the theme of Anti-Bullying Week, namely ‘the fear of being bullied when new to a school’. All children are new to a school on at least one occasion, and over the course of their school lives this may happen several times: whether as a result of formal transition stages, a family house move, a newly arrived child of a migrant family, or for other reasons.
NIABF is calling upon schools to support its pupils to engage in the competition. All entries must be by individual pupils and not groups. The closing date for entries to be received by NIABF is Friday 17th October 2008 . To find out more please read an explanatory letter and download the school preparation pack . |
