National Awards for School Support Staff 2007
In 2005, the National Bursars Association launched the National Awards for School Support Staff. The awards covered eight categories, but were able to encompass nominations from every support staff role in schools.
The purpose was to raise the profile of those who supported the learning processes within their school environment. The Awards were a great success and culminated in an Awards Dinner at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London, November 2005.
National Awards for School Support Staff 2007

In 2006, the National Bursars Association received 40% more nominations, which led to a greater awareness of the Awards.
Today, we are announcing the launch of the National Awards for School Support Staff 2007 for the third year. Head Teachers and Governors are invited to nominate those members of their school support staff who “give that little bit extra” to their role.
Nomination packs can be obtained from the Association at the address below and the nominations must be received by the closing date of 11 May 2007. The nominations received will be considered by regional panels, who will recommend nominations in each category to go forward to the national panel of judges. The National Panel will make the decision as to the finalists in each category, and these will be invited to the Awards Dinner on 1 December 2007, when the Winners and Distinctions will be announced and Awards presented by Libby Purves OBE of BBC Radio 4’s “Midweek” and “The Learning Curve” programmes.
Each Winner and category Distinction will receive an engraved Award, with the winners also receiving a cheque. The Awards are sponsored individually, and it is thanks to our sponsors that the Association is able to present these Awards again in 2007.
Further information regarding the Awards can be obtained from the National Bursars Association at bursarsassoc@btconnect.com or by telephoning 01788 573300.
