| Anna McPartlin’s first novel, Pack Up The Moon, was published in 2006 was a great success and her latest work, Apart From The Crowd, is out now. She has just signed a book deal with an American publisher.
Anna was born in 1972 and a difficult upbringing has taught her to really appreciate friends and family. She studied marketing in college, ran an alternative cabaret in a Dublin bar and has a passion for music.
Pack Up The Moon has been described as ‘an extraordinary novel brimming with love, passion, deep sadness and hope. It is the story of Emma, an ordinary girl whose world is turned upside down.
After the runaway success of her bestselling debut novel, McPartlin’s second has been eagerly-awaited and Apart From The Crowd has been branded ‘a story of love, friendship and courage’.
Offaly-based Geraldine O’Neill teaches as well as running writers workshops and book clubs. A Different Kind Of Dream, due to be released next month, is her fifth book with Poolbeg Publishing.
The novel is set in the 1950s Ireland that Geraldine O’Neill has visited in several of her previous novels and her new, compelling characters have echoes for both the young and the young at heart.
