HIGH ACHIEVEMENT FOR PUPILS WITH HEARING / VISION LOSS

The following pupils did very well in their A levels and are now studying at QUB:

Adam McReynolds from Portadown College

Brian O’Neil from St. Michael’s Grammar School, Lurgan

Andrew McRoberts from Lurgan College

Niall Quinn from St. Ciaran’s High School, Ballygawley

Clare Hughes from St. Patrick’s High School, Keady, did very well in her A levels and is now studying at University of Ulster

The following pupils did very well at GCSE and have remained at school to do AS levels:

John McMullan from Lismore Comprehensive School, Lurgan

Cathy Cassidy from Sacred Heart Grammar School, Newry

Each of these pupils has a disability and as a result of it, there have been many barriers in place for them to access the curriculum. It has been a case of fantastic teamwork, a team made up of their parents, their school teachers and assistants and the teachers from the Sensory Support Service but most of all, each pupil has worked hard and obtained well-deserved grades. CONGRATULATIONS from us all!
