| David said: “Activities will include a mix of outdoor pursuits such as bouldering, canoeing and abseiling as well as creative arts workshops on the theme of promoting good relations. This is an annual event and normally around 30 young people attend.
“The residential is a good way for those young people completing the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award to meet the residential criteria for the Award, however you do not have to be completing the Award to take part. The residential is open to individuals as well as groups of young people.
“The cost for the five days is £47.50 and this includes all transport, activities, accommodation and food. The residential is being subsidised under the Youth Service Community Relations Support Scheme.”
