| Classes begin at Orchard County Primary School |

| Pupils moved into the bright new surroundings of Orchard County Primary School at Annaghmore, County Armagh , today, Monday, October 10, 2005 .
A spokesperson for the Southern Education and Library Board (SELB) said: “The new £1.5million school will provide a quality learning environment for the area’s children. |
| “ Orchard County Primary School replaces Annaghmore Primary School and Tullyroan Primary School .
“The five classroom school at Blackisland Road , comprises a multi-purpose hall, resource areas and other ancillary spaces. |

| “On a 1.011 hectare site, the school development is integrated with the existing road network and local areas of development. It is located close to the heart of the catchment area and the existing settlement of Annaghmore.
“The principal of the new school is Mrs Carole Lawson, who was principal of Tullyroan Primary School . A total of 86 pupils attend the school.”
Mrs Moira Alexander, then chairperson of the SELB, officially marked the start of the new school project with the sod-cutting on the site on October 21, 2004 . |
