The competition judges were Kenneth Twyble, vice chairperson of the SELB Education Committee, Brendan McConville , SELB Education Officer – Nursery and Primary;

Mairead Maguire , SELB Pupil and Parent Unit, and local newspaper journalist Fiona Williamson-McCabe.  A prize of £50 was awarded to the winning school in each category with £20 for those in second place.

 Mr Twyble said: “As the standard of entries for this year’s competition was extremely high, choosing the winners was difficult for the judging panel.

 “The competition highlights the excellent work going on in schools and gives pupils the opportunity to display their writing and design skills.”
