Young people exhibit photographic work

Ten young people in the Keady area have displayed their photographic work in an exhibition entitled ‘It’s Our Town too’. The exhibition highlighting issues facing young people took place in the Keady Community Centre on the evening of Wednesday, June 29.

The exhibition was attended by young people from Keady Unattached Youth Project, Southern Education and Library Board (SELB) area youth worker Susan Best, and young people from the outlying communities. Also attending was Councillor John Campbell, Mayor of Armagh City and District Council, and other Council members.

The young people took part in a six-week programme facilitated by Belfast Exposed and the Community Arts Forum. They learned about cameras, picture composition and developing techniques. The SELB Youth Service and the Community Arts Forum ran the project.
Armagh City and District Council have also supported this project with funding received from Armagh and District LSP under Priority 3 Measure 1 of the Peace II programme.
