SELB
Chief Executive, Helen McClenaghan commented, “Tuesday
11 March was ‘National Ideas Day’, so
we thought it an ideal day to introduce our own Staff
Suggestion Scheme”. She continued, “The
importance of involving staff in the development of
services can not be under-estimated and I would hope
that many of our teaching and non-teaching staff,
who have ideas on how to improve our services, will
use this opportunity to have those ideas evaluated
and rewarded where appropriate ”.
|
|
|
The
main objectives of the scheme are to promote the involvement
of all employees, improve internal communication,
enhance customer satisfaction, make savings and reduce
costs thereby helping the Board to provide better
quality services for the community. As an incentive
and as a form of recognition, a reward mechanism has
been put in place including monetary rewards, formal
presentations, recognition in internal magazines and
entrance into external competitions.
Ends.
