Information Leaflet for Parents
The SELB Educational Psychology Service will be distributing 4000 Information Leaflets for Parents to provide information on what the Educational Psychology Service can offer children with special educational needs.
The Educational Psychology Service strives to work in partnership with parents, schools and other professionals to ensure that all children and young people develop and learn through effective education, with a particular emphasis on those who are experiencing difficulties within education.

Principal Educational Psychologist, Stuart Rooney commented:

“It is important that parents know what the SELB Educational Psychology Service can offer but equally important to know how to access the service and how to contact their local Regional Psychology Office. Leaflets will be distributed to parents via schools, assessment clinics and directly by the Psychology Service. We hope to evaluate the usefulness of the Information Leaflet in the coming year and use it to discover what improvements parents would like to see in the service.”

“We see this as part of the SELB’s process of promoting a customer focused culture of continuous improvement.” .
