SELB Congratulates Successful Everest Team
Terence “Banjo” Bannon from Newry, one of the two NI men successful in the recent climb of Mount Everest has strong SELB links.
Terence started his mountaineering life on the SELB Aspirant Mountain Leaders Course and completed his Stage 1 Mountain Leader. He has also been a voluntary instructor at Shannaghmore and Killowen outdoor education centres.

The six-man group also included expedition leader Richard Dougan, outdoor pursuits instructor and lecturer at Armagh College and Stephen Synnott, an outdoor pursuits instructor at Shannaghmore. The SELB, along with hundreds of others, sends it congratulations to the whole team.
