Delta celebrates 10th Birthday
DELTA, the parenting programme which aims to develop everyone's learning and thinking abilities celebrated its 10th Birthday
The DELTA project has become very successful over the years from its initial inception, with over 9000 parents in the Southern Board availing of the programme.

The programme is offered to parents of children from birth through to 16 years. To mark the 10th anniversary the DELTA project team hosted a morning reflectingon parenting followed by a celebratory lunch.
Guest speakers at theevent were Lady Eames, SELB Chief Executive,
Helen McClenaghan and Tony Rodgers, Assistant Director SHSSB.
To end the morning, parents from the Women and Family Health Initiative Drama Group based in Mullaghbawn, outside Newry, performed a parenting sketch and poems for guests.

Mission Statement of the DELTA programme:
The DELTA programme will promote partnership with parents within the Southern Board area on a multi-disciplinary basis through group and individual programmes to parents by imparting parenting information and advice.

DELTA sub committees
are set up in each of the Trust areas: Newry and Mourne, Armagh and Dungannon, Craigavon and Banbridge.
