2)Send an A4 envelope with a large 1st class stamp for each application to, Human Resources, SELB, 3 Charlemont Place, The Mall, Armagh, BT61 9AX

Always quote the Job Reference & Details, Your Name and your Address in your request

COMPLETING APPLICATION FORMS

  • Applicants must complete all parts/sections of the application form and sign as appropriate;
  • It is essential that your correct National Insurance Number and Postcode are provided;
  • Applicants must include as much information as they can to support their application matching their qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills and personal qualities to the criteria outlined in the advertisement.

FAXED AND E-MAILED APPLICATIONS

  • CV’s will NOT be accepted;
  • Faxed and e-mailed applications will NOT be accepted.

SHORTLISTING

  • Shortlisting will be based solely on the information provided on the application form.
  • Applicants should note that the advertised criteria (essential and desirable) represents the minimum level of qualification(s) and/or experience required for the post.
  • Selection Panels are often unable to interview all applicants holding minimum requirements. In these circumstances the Panel is likely to enhance the level of qualification and/or experience required, inviting only those meeting the higher standard to interview.
  • It is the applicant’s responsibility to indicate clearly on the application form how they meet each element of the criteria set out in the advertisement.
  • To ensure that all applicants are treated fairly, enhanced criteria will be agreed at shortlisting prior to examination of application forms.

INTERVIEW

After the panel has interviewed all the shortlisted applicants, it will select the person(s) whom it deems most suitable for the post, having considered:

  • the Job Application Form
  • experience, qualifications, knowledge and skills and personal qualities
  • the applicant’s responses to the questions asked
  • referees’ reports

All job applicants will be advised in writing of the result of their application.

TEACHING POSTS

All applicants should be qualified Teachers as recognised by the Department of Education, Northern Ireland.

CLOSING DATES

All completed application forms must be returned to the Equality Unit of the SELB not later than 4.00 pm on the stated closing date of application. Applications received after the closing date/time will not be considered.

Your completed application form may be returned:

  • By Post
  • In Person – you can leave it into the main reception area of the SELB Headquarters building, 3 Charlemont Place, The Mall, Armagh between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm
  • For out of hours delivery you may use the post box which is located at the left hand side of the main entrance of the SELB Headquarters building, 3 Charlemont Place, The Mall, Armagh
