*CLASSROOM ASSISTANT (FOUNDATION STAGE, PRIMARY 2)

(TEMPORARY FOR 2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION)
HOURS: 20 per week (9:15am-2:00pm daily)
SALARY: £6.3432 - £7.9280 per hour – SCP 6-13
Essential Criteria
• NVQ Level II in Children's Care Learning and Development, or equivalent qualification as recognised by the SELB;
• Experience of working with children in nursery/reception class to P7;
• Good communication skills, both written and oral; and
• Ability to respect confidentiality and work as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
• NVQ Level III in Children's Care Learning and Development, or equivalent qualification as recognised by the SELB;
• At least 1 year's experience of working with children in nursery/reception class to P7;
• Experience of working in a Key Stage I composite class;
• Ability to act on own initiative.
