SALARY: Soulbury £37,656 - £41,097 per annum
HOURS: 36 per week
Essential Criteria
Qualified teacher as recognised by and registered with GTCNI;
Possess a Visual Arts related qualification;
A minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in post primary schools or equivalent (eg. in FE);
Experience of using ICT/multi media in an Art and Design context;
Experience of developing and leading new initiatives;
Knowledge of the post primary curriculum as relevant to the post;
Up-to-date knowledge of the creative application of ICT in the areas of moving image, web design, graphic design and other related areas;
Knowledge of relevant software and hardware such as Powerpoint, Macro Media Flash, Adobe Premier and Photoshop, and a range of video editing software on both PC and Mac platforms;
Good communication, interpersonal and self-organisation skills;
An enthusiasm for creativity and ICT;
Aptitude for working with young people;
Ability to work as a member of a team; and
Possess a valid driving licence and have use of a car or have access to a form of transport which will enable the postholder to meet the requirements of the post in full.
Desirable Criteria
Additional qualification relating to ICT/Multi Media;
Experience of teaching Art and Design to GCSE and/or A Level.
