UNIT CATERING SUPERVISOR
MOYALLON PRIMARY SCHOOL

HOURS: 27.50 per week (8:30am-3:30pm daily)
SALARY: £8.0562 - £8.6230 per hour - NJC SCP 14-17
(Retainer fee paid during periods of school closure)
Essential Criteria
- *NVQ Level II in Food Preparation and Cooking, or equivalent qualification as recognised by SELB, e.g., City & Guilds 705, 706 or 706(1) or 706(2);
- Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene;
- A minimum of 1 years' experience of traditional cooking methods in a catering establishment;
- The ability to prepare, cook and present food in a way which is attractive to children;
- Good working knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety legislation and ability to apply same within Education Catering Service;
- The ability to work under pressure;
- Experience of book-keeping and budgetary control; and
- The ability to lead and motivate a team and have high-level organisational skills.
*Applicants who do not possess qualifications should have a minimum of 2 years' experience of traditional cooking methods in a catering establishment.
Desirable Criteria
- NVQ Level III in Food Preparation and Cooking, or equivalent qualification as recognised by SELB, e.g., City & Guilds 706(2);
- Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene;
- Experience in the training and supervision of staff.
