TEMPORARY ASSISTANT YOUTH SUPPORT WORKER – PEER SUPPORT WORKER - VISIONS (4 POSTS) JOB REF: Y12038
LOCATIONS: EITHER ARMAGH OR PORTADOWN
SALARY: JNC Youth & Community Support Worker Range pts 1-4 £7.5343 - £8.4794 per hour
HOURS: 3 per fortnight
Essential Criteria
Previous participant of Visions 4 2Moro Conference and Steering Group or equivalent programme which can demonstrate ability to deliver motivation, leadership, planning and presentation;
Ability to motivate, encourage and support;
Good communication;
Ability to develop relationships with peers and others;
Awareness of appropriate leadership styles;
Basic IT skills;
Creative;
Outgoing;
Motivational;
Reliable;
Trustworthy;
Willingness to undertake further training;
Available to work evenings and occasional weekends.
Desirable Criteria
- Leadership in Youth Work for young people OCN NI Level 1;
- Previous Peer Education roles;
- Skilled in computer graphics and desktop publishing.
