(For the period until 31 March 2013 with possible extension)
SALARY: JNC Youth & Community Support Worker Range pts 1-4 £7.5343 - £8.4794 per hour
HOURS: 3 per week
Essential Criteria
• Experience of working with young people in a youth work setting;
• Knowledge of needs and issues of young people;
• Ability to motivate, encourage and support;
• Good communication;
• Ability to develop relationships with peers and others;
• Awareness of appropriate leadership styles;
• Creative;
• Outgoing;
• Motivational;
• Reliable;
• Trustworthy;
• Willingness to undertake further training;
• Available to work evenings and occasional weekends.
Desirable Criteria
• Introduction to Youth Work (OCN Level 2 & 3);
• Experience of assisting with the delivery of accredited training programmes;
