What is taught at the learning centres
We offer a wide curriculum which aims to meet the varied needs of our young people. As well as access to GCSE and AQA course in a range of subjects, experienced and committed staff provide support for those with literacy and/or numeracy difficulties. We also aim to provide an environment where those young people who have low self-esteem can flourish, develop self-confidence and be supported in their preparation for the world of work.
It is our priority to ensure that every single young person feels safe, secure and valued and to help them to achieve personal success.
What is the aim of the Kinnego Centre:
The aim of the Kinnego Centre is to improve your child’s ability to belong to his/her secondary school and so enable him/her to participate fully in that school’s activities.
We can only do this with the co-operation and support of parents. Young people are encouraged to do well in all aspects of school life, both learning and behaviour through a system of rewards and sanctions. An individual counselling service is also available.
We emphasise the rewards to encourage pupils to try their best.
