Energy and Environmental Unit
The Energy and Conservation Unit is part of the board’s Development, Planning and Support’ Department and offers advice on all aspects of energy purchase and usage, energy saving equipment and insulation as well as repairs and renewable energy sources.
It also includes advice on temperatures and comfort levels, legal requirements and the efficient use of high energy consuming equipment. |

The unit supports and instigates energy saving initiatives in all board properties, and sources funding by presenting investment proposals to various funding bodies. Every aspect of a project is managed from initial site survey, through design and management of the energy improvement to final post project appraisal. |
