The Education Committee makes recommendations to the Board on educational matters including small schools, special education policy, transfer procedure, funding of schools, child protection, pupil assessment, review of the Northern Ireland curriculum, review of post-primaryeducation, training and induction of teachers, development of international awareness and the operation of the youth and music services. In addition it considers and acts upon inspection reports on schools.
