Buildings Supervision and Cleaning
The section was set up by the amalgamation of the SELB Contract Services, Building Cleaning Section and the SELB Contract Monitoring Section,
as a result it has two distinct work functions that it carries out.
These are:
Direct Management
- To directly manage the provision of Building Supervision and/or Cleaning Services in
- 33 Post Primary Schools and Colleges
- 8 Primary Schools
- 6 Other SELB establishments
- 1 Library
through anually renewed Service Level Agreements.
- To respond to changing customer needs in a flexible, efficient and cost effective manner.
- Provide through our Mobile Cleaning Team additional Support Services to all Board establishments which include:
- Window Cleaning
- Carpet Cleaning
- Power Washing

Training, Advice and Support
- To provide Training, Advice and Support Services to all Schools, Colleges and other Board establishments as well as Departments,
Branches and Sections within the Board in all matters relating to Building Supervision and Cleaning
As part of the above Services to all Educational Establishments information is available to SELB staff involved
with Building Supervision and Cleaning Services, these include:

- Product Safety Data Sheets
- Cleaning Chemical Dilution Information
- Cleaning Machinery Instruction Manuals
