Audio Visual Recording Service (AVRS)

The Audio-Visual Recording Service (AVRS) is an educational resource provided on behalf of all five education and library boards by the SELB’s library service and is available only to schools and colleges in Northern Ireland.

The service is funded by the Education and Library Boards. Schools may borrow items without charge. Schools wishing to purchase items may do so (See pages (iv) and (v) for details).

Colleges and Institutes of Further and Higher Education and all other customers are charged on a ‘pay-per-broadcast’ basis in the case of loan material. Purchased items include the cost of the blank videos, DVDs or audiocassettes. Please consult the price list on page (v) or ring the AVRS at the telephone number below.

VAT at the current rate is applicable on all invoices excluding those from schools within the SELB’s catchment area.
